Monday Blues

Morning! So it's Monday. Again. God, I feel like it's just yesterday I was resting peacefully at home, lying on the bed not caring about anything at all and now I'm back in my lab. Wait. That was indeed yesterday. Whatever. The thing is it takes lots of mentally reminding yourself it's gonna be Friday again soon to get up from the bed in the morning and went to the lab. Sigh. Why is Monday blues even a thing? Why does it even exist?

Monday is probably the day I'll be the laziest cuz I'm still pretty much in my weekends mood. Do you guys know there's really actually a Blue Monday day? Heck, I didn't even know it before until I came across it a few days ago. I was searching for new teen movies to watch and next thing I know I was on a Blue Monday page on wikipedia. So according to our reliable wikipedia (in my mind, it is reliable, 60% of what I learned in class makes sense when I read the wiki page for it so there, it is reliable) Blue Monday typically falls on the third Monday in January supposedly to be the most depressing day of the year. Haha, how does that sounds to you? I can't even believe we have the most depressing day of the year.

Seriously I'm not gonna write down here all the things about Blue Monday, geez as if I need more of it already. You can in all honesty read it on its wiki page here and embrace yourself in all that Blue Monday vibe if you're into it. By the way they also concluded the happiest days of the year apparently. So read it!

So I'm gonna leave now and resume my own Blue Monday while counting down to my dearest Friday. Till then, let's just pretend this day don't even exist, should we? So happy not Monday to you peeps!

The Feeling of Freedom

When do you feel you're free?
https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/49x15q90/673/V5GXVw.jpgSo someone asked me this question today. And she's not asking about my schedule or because she wanted to ask me to go out with her or anything. But she was asking about the feeling of freedom. When do I feel that? And I can't quickly answer her. Though there's one thing in my mind as soon as I heard the question which is not the answer. But the fact that I don't think I've ever feel free.

But what is freedom or this free feeling she's talking about exactlyhttp://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img537/3687/oHPllj.gif After thinking about it I gave her two answers. The first one when I climbed or go hiking, because higher places like hills make me feel free. Being on the top and seeing all those buildings, streets, people and simply the town you're living in down there, it makes me feel like for a moment, while I'm on top, I'm not part of it. Like, I'm escaping from it. It's like letting go of whatever that is holding me back and defining my life and all those stuff that makes me as me. And that feeling of escaping and letting go and not owning your life for as long as you're on top it feels like a freedom to me.

But right after giving my first answer of being on higher places and as I think about the question in a much serious note, I thought about another situation in which I do feel free too. That is being with your family. This should have come as my first thought I think but it doesn't help that it has been a while since I've spend time with my family and I almost forgot how it felt to be with them. I've been staying away from my family since I was 18 years old which makes it 5 years of not living with them by the end of 2014 and now I'm continuing in my 6th year. Being with people who don't judge you and whom you know will always be there for you no matter what happen and who will always take up all your shits and make up for all the things you screw up, I think that is freedom. And just like being on the hill, when I go back to my family even for just one or two days I have that feeling of letting go of my life for a while, lifting my burdens and just be a children to my parents.

And speaking of children, I think that is freedom too. You know those years when we don't exactly have all these negative thoughts and things that hold us back from doing anything we wanted to do. Like our biggest worry at those time was probably when we are rushing home right after school because we're afraid we couldn't make it to watch our favorite shows. And we don't even care that our favorite shows was Are You Afraid of The Dark? (what, it's a cool show okay http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img903/5176/nnRMN1.gif) instead of watching Pokemon or Blue Clues like other kids. Being able to do what you want without concerning how other feels about it is freedom too.

So what is free feeling? Obviously it is subjective. Or perspective I might say. The way we're living our lives will determine the answer. I still don't know if I gave a good answer to my friend and perhaps if she asked me again on another time my answer will be different. But whatever the answer you have to this question, just know that you should treasure anything or anyone that can give you that feeling. Because trust me it is all rare item. Limited edition. Have a nice day, everyone :)

That 4 Lads From Australia

So I have new obsession. Okay not quite new, I have liked them for quite some time already, but my obsession couldn't get a full swing with limited proper videos, audios, interviews and exposure of these guys. But now they have finally launched their music career and with a blast at that, it is so much easier to obsess about them and not that I can resist it, haha. Well, finally all those times watching all those bad quality videos and fan-deafening show performances are paid off. Their self-titled debut album has already come out somewhere in June, 2014 which you can basically listen to on repeat and ready to bleed your ears. Lol, at least that's what it does to me.  http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img903/5176/nnRMN1.gif

Okay seriously, I found out about this band late in 2012 when someone on Twitter shared one of their YouTube videos with me. So I just casually checked them out on YouTube not really expecting anything. And nor did I get anything either after watching it. Like, it's all because of the bad quality of the video and I can't really hear them singing clearly. So i went on and checked all their other videos and all I can say at that time was, wow these guys goof around a lot, like really a lot. Are they seriously want to sing or they just want to have fun? But I can't really stop myself from laughing along with them as they forgot the lyrics, sung in a really weird voices, running from their parents and just really playing like they were in some playground. And that's what makes them different from others. They actually have fun with what they are doing. Doesn't mean they are any less serious though. They write most of their songs. And they play instruments. Yeah, they're surely not another pop band on their way.

Sigh..I think I went on and ranting again. Lol, that is just so like me. But all I want to say is this band is different than what the world mainstream entertainment had and it's kind of attractive in its way. Hey, being different is attractive. ^^ But either it is good different or bad different, I think we have to watch them for some time before we can decide on that. But right now, while they're still fresh from being YouTube famous, they're definiely a good different. What? Are you actually waiting for me to properly introduce and feed you with all the info about this band? Nahh...I'm not gonna do that. You can find that in just about another hundreds of website dedicated for them. Hehe..sorry...^^

What....did you just say they're just another One Direction materialhttp://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img537/3687/oHPllj.gif Nononono, don't even go there. How the heck they are anything like 1D? I have nothing against 1D, I'm in fact a fan of 1D too, but treating 5SOS as another 1D version 2.0 is just so wrong. (shaking my head in disappointment) You see they played their own instruments. And they write their own songs. And have you seen their album cover? Have you listened to their songs? They're definitely not a pretty boy kind of band and they surely not serenading a girl with sweet melody and lyrics about how naturally pretty she is. So yeah, this argument is invalid.

For a starter listen to She Looks So Perfect which has already break through the Billboards. Or Amnesia which is just the opposite of She Looks So Perfect but just as addictive as SLSP (that is She Looks So Perfect for you, dude, you can't expect me to write such long title again and again, right?) But my personal suggestion? You should definitely listen to Out of My Lemon lol no, just kidding, that's not their song title. I mean, Out of My Limit and Eighteen. That is the real stuff about them although sadly the songs are not in their debut album.

Owh lovely, we have reach at the end of this entry and all I ever wanted to say is that this band is awesome and I'm in love no, I mean I'm addicted and obsessed with them. I know, I know, this is one useless post, it's as if I didn't say anything at all, just bear with me will ya?

Maybe it's us who's changing

Change. Transformation. Transition. Whatever one might call it, it's a word people use to describe something that is no longer the way it is previously. It can be anything. The surrounding, rules, society, people, or relationship. What cause it? There are many factors which may interlink with each other’s. Changes in surrounding can change people which in turn can change the society and so on. I bet anyone of us have heard at least once from the people around us saying things have changed or perhaps we said it ourselves.

Some changes happen because we make it happen while others occur on their own, unconsciously to those affected by it. And some people like the changes while others discourage it. I honestly don't really fancy the idea of change be it in surroundings or relationship. But as we go through life, as we grow up, things will inevitably change either gradually or drastically. We can't deny the fact that we're changing too. We're one year older with each new year that comes and we move from one grade to another. We left school, we started college or we enter the work field.

Doesn't this mean change happens all the time? It's like a pattern that repeats itself again and again. But it's a random pattern that we don't know what form it's going to take every time it changes. So, why we are still making a big deal over changes that occur around us? Perhaps because we're still the same. Suddenly we don't get the jokes our friends are making anymore, we don't get the conversation our family are having over dinner and we don't get the temperament he's showing in the phone call at night. Then everything drifts apart even before we know it. We stop hanging out, we stop texting each other and we're left on our own.

That's when we concluded that the other person has changed. Perhaps because that's the simplest logic to the broken relationship. Or it's easier to think like that than putting the blame on ourselves. But we forgot that change happen all the time. We're always moving forward, as the clock ticking, we're leaving the seconds which already became the past. We left our home, our school and our town. We went to separate ways and live in different environment and spend our time with different people.

I realize then the me now is no longer the same me I see in the photograph taken from my school's days. I feel like my hometown friends are becoming someone I don't know, but so am I. But it doesn't feel like anything changes or we're changing although we're miles apart because as we change together our relationship is still as strong as before. Our relationship hasn't change. We used to like the same songs but now we share different songs that we like with each other and for that reason it seems like nothing change between us. Either it is before or now, we're still listening to the same song. I learn to like her favorite song and she learns to sing mine.

As I look closely at my friendship with my friend, I realize it's not that none of us are changing. In fact, both of us are changing, shifting our favorites and laugh at different jokes. But what makes our relationship to stay is our effort to accept the changes and to share it with one another. I'm glad I have a friend like her and I'm proud with our friendship. I love you LPL..:)

So, if you feel like things or a person is changing, don't be quick to point your finger at them. Remember you're changing too even though you don't realize it. If you're really honest in your relationship with them, it doesn't really matter who they were before and who they're becoming now. It only matters what the relationship means to you and to them. Take it as a challenge as though you're trying to know a new person if it comes to that. May everyone be blessed in their relationships. ^^

Random Act of Kindness

Have you ever give up your seat on the bus or train for someone else? Or help to carry heavy things for others? Perhaps you've given up your turn in the line to someone behind you who has fewer items than you at the counter?

If your answer is yes to any of the questions, congratulation ~~*^v^*~~ You have just done a random act of kindness. So what is that supposed to mean exactly? Alright, don't worry, it's nothing complex. Random act of kindness simply means doing your good deed to a complete stranger who you don't know in your life or you've never seen before.

Of course every one of us have done some good things to people around us like me, I've been helping my mother to wash the dishes after every meals. No scratch that, that's one of my chores. And I've helped my friends too here and now or they might unfriend me (lol just kidding). Anyway, I'm sure you guys get it now; it's showing your kindness to someone whom you won't get any benefit from.

There are many ways to spread your good deeds to strangers. And the basic of the basic, especially for the laziest people who still want to do some kind of good deeds to others next time you went to the restaurant, remember to say thank you to the waiters and waitresses that bring your foods to the table. Say thanks to the lady at the counter after paying for the stuffs. Don't want to communicate with strangers at all? Well here's the easiest one. Smile to everyone you see.  Smile to that cleaner at the building or to that fierce librarian who won't allow you into the library with slippers on. Don't overdo it though. If you grin like you've just won a lottery or something to a complete stranger they're going to assume you're mentally retarded or perhaps you're flirting with them.

Think all that is a meh and you can do much better than that ? Here's an idea. Clean up your own table after the meal and throw you dirty dish to its container if it’s available. You make their job easier and also the next person can quickly seat there. You're not in a rush? Then help those tourists to take the right public transport to the national museum. Ever wonder how on earth a canned corn got stuck between the meats section at supermarket? Take it with you and return it to its shelf. And don't pretend you don't see that candy wrappers when you're walking. I'm sure there's trash can somewhere nearby. You step on a coin? Or a dollar? Take it, but don't put it into your pocket please. Bring it to the missing item counter and let them handle it. It may means more than a dollar to the person who dropped it. Or maybe you can put it into the charity case or whatever you call it.

Why suddenly I'm writing about this? I just feel like I want to share this with others and perhaps I can make at least one person who's reading this to do any act of kindness to random people. I've seen it often how people treat others for granted. Rarely anyone say thank you to the waiter, cashier or the cleaner simply because we think it's their work anyway to do it. If and if only we show some kind of appreciation to others, they will be happier to do it and believe me, we'll be happy too. Only those who have done it will know how it feels like. There's some kind of satisfaction, achievement and happiness when we do this. Don't believe me? Well, why don't you try it out and tell me about it. Go spread the good virus. Woo hoo... !!!

We Ain't Growing Up Alone

We often make a fuss about how life is so hard and unfair to us. Some of us can’t wait to grow up and become an adult because we thought we could have our own freedom, and some of us didn’t want to grow up and be matured thus we refuse to take many responsibilities that belong to us truly. But we often forget, we’re not the only one walking the journey in this life. Our parents are walking through their stages too. Do we even realize that our parents are growing old? The smile wrinkles that appear on their faces when we went to the university, it was not there yesterday when we had just entered the kindergarten. I hope everyone will treat their parents better and no matter what you went through your life, don’t throw your tantrums towards them. Love them more. Because they still be there when you take off your high school uniform, but who knows if you’re still able to buy them anything with your first salary. So, while they are here, with you, appreciate them a little more, shows your gratitude towards them a little more. Love is senseless without words and words are meaningless without actions. When’s the last time you talked to your parents? I hope you’ll call them and have a nice little talk with them after this. May everyone is blessed with their families. ^0^

What They Say?

Yes, just like the given title..that's what exactly I'm going to talk about today. I just feel the need to write about this since it's happening continuously around me, no matter where I am. This has been happening to me all the time, as far back as I can remember. And I can't help but admit that it does affect me gradually, dragging me away from my initial pathway. Alright, just what's this thing I'm talking about or am I just spouting nonsense now? Well, it's about how certain (should I just say most?) people around me have been acting all the time.

The overwhelmed feeling of afraid to look stupid and embarrassed in public have really become a trend to people around me. Yeah, I know, everyone doesn't want to look stupid and being embarrassed in public, sure enough. But perhaps some of us have redefined these two terms? What does look stupid means? What does being embarrassed actually refers to? Does saying "I don't know" make you look  more stupid than saying "Yes, I've heard it before but I forgot about it" when you're unsure about something? Does entering a class already full of students make you feeling embarrassed even when the fact is other than your friends no one else really notice it?

These are the kind of thing that happens around me. Everyone is just too shy to do anything when people they don't really know are around them. I know, we all have our shyness when we are around people we are not use to. But shyness needs a limit. If we're too shy even to ask our own lecturer about whether there's a class on holiday, then I think that's a problem. If we're too shy to ask the salesgirl at the shop for the price, then I think it's troublesome. If we're too shy to go anywhere alone, and have to ask a friend to accompany us even to the nearest grocery store, then I think there's really an issue. It really drives me crazy when a group of people is pushing each other just to ask the lecturer a simple question, like they are about to get scold if they ask it.

Maybe it's just me, but I really can't stand people who are too shy to do anything even a normal thing in public. We need our shyness, our humbleness but if it's too much, it can be troublesome. Of course, whatever we do, people will talk just like some of us talk about others when we see someone doing things we don't usually do. That's how it is. But if we really want to care about all the talks and the stares, the drawbacks are on us. We certainly are not able to experience many things in life, due to our shyness.

The Little Part of Me Is Missing

So, in my previous post, I have talked about myself changing, doing things I've never done before. So here's another one I'm going to share with you. For me, it feels, like a positive little changes, but who am I to ensure that I'm changing for the better. But lately I've been thinking a lot about how the past affected me even now. I was so stiff in the past that I don't appreciate every moments I had, especially with my friends back then in college before I entered the university.
However recently, I've been missing my old classmates and all the things we used to do together. Luckily, my best friend at that time was someone who liked to take a lot of photos be it during a program we had together or during any random days without anything special actually was going on. And I had all those pictures on my laptop memory, which is I'm glad that I didn't delete them. I looked at the picture sometimes and all the memories I had with them rushing into my mind as if it was only last week it happened. Back then I didn't realize I'd have miss them this much. We were only together for a year in a class of about 19 people coming from various backgrounds and places.
I still remember when they made a surprise birthday party for me. I was showering and my best friend shouted from outside that we had extra class on that night. I didn't know about it, but I trusted her anyway, and I rushed to put my clothes on and I don't even care about my wet hair at that time. But my friend was a little relax beside me although she told me that the class has started. Because I was rushing, I walked in front of her and when I arrived I saw everyone was gathering and singing a birthday song for me. Even a few guys from the other class joined us at that night. It was the first program that we had together. And it's my birthday. I won't forget it for the rest of my life.
All these 19 people, they were unique in their own way, that even now, I remember each of them so clearly. I can't even pick whom I was closer to. We're all so close. I miss them so much even now. Because of this 19 people, I have now realized that you've to cherish every moments you had in your life. There's no such things as little moment, big moments, or special moment. Every second you're breathing, each one of it is so special that you have to cherish all of it. I learn not to take things for granted anymore. Just because what you're doing is a routine doesn't make it any less special than those things you do once in a blue moon. In fact, those things that you do everyday worth more than those things you rarely do.
That bus you took every morning to your classes, when you're working later and had your own car, you're going to miss it. You're going to miss the morning rushing to avoid being left by the bus. You're going to miss that annoying feeling you felt every time you've to stand in the bus because there's too many people inside it and there's not enough sit. You're going to miss that worried feeling when the bus hasn't arrived and your class  is going to start in five minutes.
This is exactly what I'm feeling now. I miss that little less populated town where I used to study with my friends. I miss everything about it. I miss the people and I miss the places as well. And I know, very much later in life when I've started working I'm going to miss this university life too. So I want to cherish every moment I have now, I want to keep this memory carefully so that I won't lose it. Thanks to my college friends, now I know how to appreciate the people around me more. Even when I know everything I have right now is temporary and everything will be leaving me soon to make room for new things, I know that the memory I keep is forever. I miss them.

Miss them so much..<3

Embracing Your Mistakes

I'm actually writing this for the National Mistake Day which is on October 1st, but mind me, I totally forgot about it yesterday. Well, I make mistakes and that's what you're going to deal with in this post. My life is not mistake-free and I think everyone realizes that mistake is part of our lives, just like the saying goes, 'to err is human' (did I even get the saying right? Well, my mistake correct me if I'm wrong).

We all do lots of mistake and it happens all the time. Some people deny it, some people choose to overlook it and some just couldn't accept it that they often end up regretting and getting frustrated with themselves. When I was younger, I used to think someone who makes mistake is a failure, it's just bad and embarrassing. I was so scared of doing mistake to the point that if I don't have confidence in doing something I'll just let it pass by instead of trying it at all. I don't want to make mistake especially in front of others because I thought it'll look bad on me. But as I grew up and I met various kind of people who didn't share the same thoughts with me and have different experiences it made me realize, mistake is not bad at all. Thanks to a few friends of mine who wasn't scared of doing mistake like me, and who dragged me along with them to make the mistake together.

If you're afraid of doing mistake, you're going to miss so many interesting moment in your life, just like me when I was little. For instance, English is not my first language, but here I am writing for everyone to see in this foreign language. And I know there are a lot of grammatical error in each of my post, but at least I'm writing it and sharing my thoughts with others and this way, I'll improve my English too. Some people may laugh at the mistake I make, others might feel frustrated and wanted to yell at me something like 'can you mind your tense please?!!', but I don't care anymore about what others are thinking, I'm enjoying writing this blog.

What I'm trying to say is, if you just let go of that feeling of afraid of making mistake, you'll definitely enjoy more in your life. Anyway the only people who didn't make mistake is those who are sleeping and those who never try anything new in their lives. Don't be afraid of making mistake, so you'll achieve more in your life. And to people who laugh while I'm embarrassing myself in front of them while trying something new, at least I have tried it, and you? Have you ever did it?

My Period of Metamorphosis

Hey, there. Haven't write in here for quite a long time. Not that I didn't know what to write, there were a lot of things going on and I want to write about it, I want to express it in some way. But I was hesitating, because not only things happened, but also because I started to realize when I look back down the road I've walked and past, I'm not the same person when I started my journey in this world. I don't know when is the turning point or when it started exactly, but I think it happened gradually, naturally and I'm only aware of it when I realize the me right now, the one who's typing this is just not the same person she used to be once. So I didn't want to write, because I am feeling confused with myself and I still am now, and trying to express yourself when you're in confusion, I don't feel good about it. But now perhaps I'm accepting that I've changed and I'm still changing I think I should write about it even if I can't completely express it here.

I do realize people change throughout their lives and everyone is experiencing it. I am not the only one. Is this a good thing for me or will it destroy me altogether? I don't know, I need help I guess. For a moment I think this is what should happen, sooner or later, this is the way I should be. But at one point I'll think, it's destroying me, it brings me farther from my target in this life, it turns me into a different person whom I thought I would never be. I am not going to point finger, that's ridiculous, because I know you don't just change because of one event or one person, it's more than that, it's the whole situation, it's continuous, overlay and like a puzzle they make up the big picture. Like a sequence in DNA, they make up the new protein.

Wanna know the old me? The old me like to watch anime and movies with a lot of blood, mass killing and cruelty in it. I watch the horror movie of the year and I love seeing the psychopath who cause it to happen. In school, I'll sit in front if the class, I'll choose the table in front where the teacher will be standing, I completed the lame, absurd homework nobody wants to do, and I'd always had my eyes focus on the teacher. As soon as I'm going home I'll complete my homework and only after that would I watch the television. I had lots of guys friends who don't think of me as a girl and only realized it after they went to other places and started to think they once had a girl friend in their group. Yeah, one of my guy friend had called me after we haven't met for about a year and talked to me how he found girls were always whining and complaining he that he didn't know how to deal with them And then the sentence comes out, "Hey, how come when I was with you last time, I don't feel this uneasy? You're a girl too, but I don't have this problem with you." And I too, didn't treat my guys and girls friends differently, which made me a blurred person. Who takes every guys words as a joke and ended up making few people to give up before they even say 'I like you' after their countless hints were shook off as a joke by me. And a lot more, I don't want to go on.

As for the new me, I'm a girl who likes to watch love stories which is so fiction and fantastical it couldn't be happening in real life. I like the cheesy words people say to each other which I hated it before. I choose to sit at the back in class although the front row is still empty and I'm not even writing down a single note from the lecturer. Sometime, I don't even know what class I was in. Forget about homework, even a few hours from test, I'm still surfing the internet. But now I have lots of  girls friend and I started to understand a lot more about girl. How they think about certain guys, how they react towards surprise, how they screamed to that tiny insect creeping into their closet, how they cried when things are not working out, how they concerned for people they know a little too much and how they got excited for every little thing.

That's what happening now and still happening, I found the new me in every action I do now, and I thought how I would react if I'm still the old me, that's how I know I've changed. I think it's a good thing that now I'm more girlish, more depending and more delicate, but at the same time I don't like my attitude towards my studies. I seriously need to be the old me, the nerd, whatever, I want to be that, I want to stay among the best.

I think I've write a lot, I want to stop here. There's no answer, but I know there's a way. To make this worthy. Till then, have a nice day to everyone reading this post.^0^

To those who have heard this song, well what do you guys think?I know I've heard that a lot of people don't like this song because the lyrics sounds stupid,or is there any other reasons you guys hate this song?Oh yeah,Rebecca's friends weird dancing style,I know, you guys are making fun of the girl in pink and red dress standing at the back of the car.Besides that?(Jeez..I'm pretending as if we are really in a two-way communica
tion.Haha..crazy me.blogger-emoticon.blogspot.com)
Okay, let's forget about all that for a moment.Because the truth is,although a lot of people hate this song,or hate her:s:Emm..I don't where you guys stand for this, but the thing is her Friday video has reached more than 10 millions views in just about a month time:q:That's impressive I think regardless of the talks that everyone hate the song.
For me,this song is kinda catchy and it's easy to sing along and it really can leave a happy feeling to those who listen to it.Alright,I know that the lyrics sort of silly a little bit with that "Yesterday was a Thursday, tomorrow is Saturday and then comes Sunday" lines, but I think overall it's still a good song.Owh yea, also the grammar thing "we so excited",but other than that it's still a nice song right?Well, that's what I think.
Compared to other songs right now in the entertainment industries,I think Rebecca Black song is still acceptable. At least her song doesn't have that-thing-we-do-on-the-bed kind of stuff which has always been mentioned in a lot of songs. And Friday is obviously not about sneaking-out-late-to-your-boyfriend-house kind of songs or the I'm-drunk-so-let's-do-one-night-stand lyrics. It's merely about feeling excited for Friday and wanting to spend the night to enjoy with some friends. It doesn't have any swearing words too.So I think this song is okay.
Wait,why am I sounding like I'm defending Rebecca Black:s:
Am I:s:Well, that's not what I intended to do.It's just that I don't understand why so many people don't like this song and start to make fun of the people in the music video. Some even left a harsh comment on the video. Please, respect each individual the way you wanted to be respected. Each one of us are special in our own way in which, others don't understand.Tbh,I'm not Rebecca's fans...but I do like this song. That's all I want to say,so chill.Listen to the song you like :a3: and have a fun day.blogger-emoticon.blogspot.comToday is Thursday:r::002:

The Needs For Organ Donation

First of all, sorry that this post sounds kinda a little heavy, factual and well, some of you might think this is boring. But I hope you'll take a little of your spare time to read through it and hopefully you'll do some serious thinking after you've finished reading it.I think what am I going to talk about you have already know considering I have give this post an obvious title.Yeah,it's about organ donation. It can be quite a sensitive issue to some individuals and it might be an important topic to others. No matter how you see it,that's what I'm going to talk about right now.
Recently,to fulfill one of my courses requirement, that's doing a small research of certain topic concerning the community in my place,my group has chosen to do a research on organ donation. We wanted to know what does our society thinks about organ donation. Are they supporting it or are they against it?Besides that,we also wanted to know among those who support organ donation, how many of them are actually willing to donate their organs? And if they don't what's the reason that prevented them from doing so?
Since my country have many ethnicities and each individuals has different beliefs and practices, the result varies considerably. We got so many different opinions and reasons. It makes us realized that not everyone is thinking the same way about certain things. The way we are brought up,our beliefs and the people around us become the major factors that differentiate our perspective on something.
So what's the result we've obtained from our little research? We have given out questionnaires to almost 60 people ranged from 18 to 25 years old,all of them are students in academic institutions beside interviewing an important individual responsible in organ donation affairs in our country organ donation center.I'm proud to say that all of our respondents agreed that organ donation is important to save someone's life and they are supporting it.Now,can you guess how many of them has registered themselves as an organ donor out of our 60 respondents? We found three organ donors out of our 60 respondents. That's about 5%,which means in every 20 individuals one is an organ donor.
Based on our survey too,we found out that most people don't want to donate their organ because they don't know much about organ donation,so they are having doubt to donate their organ. This is probably because there are not much of organ donation programs around when compared to blood donation which is held countless of times each year in our country.Besides that, they are also concern about who will receive their organs. In this case,I think I'm not wrong to say that differences in background such as beliefs is the cause. It's a fact that all religions lead us to do good things and prevent us from doing wrong, however, for me it's the misunderstanding of perceptions from the individual itself that leads to such doubtfulness.(I feel like this has become sensitive, forgive me for my words..I'm sweating right now...hope I didn't write anything wrong). There are also respondents who are considering to become an organ donor but their intentions were prevented by their families and friends who don't understand much about organ donation.Again,it's the lack of understanding for organ donation that make this happen.
All in all, after obtaining the data and analyzing it,I came up with my own conclusion and opinion. The way I see it,everyone is supporting organ donation as a  method to save someone's life. But not many of them are willing to be the organ donor due to the lack of information and understanding of this issue. Thus,I think the society need to be exposed and explained about organ donation so that they won't be scared to donate their organ anymore. There are still many nice people out there, who's willing to help to save other people life. It's just that they don't know how to and what's the effect to them.If organ donation is exposed more to the society,I'm sure many others will come forward to register as the organ donors.I've also noticed that there are more organ donors in developed countries like USA and Europe than developing countries like mine.I think this is because in developed country, the citizen has been given many exposure to organ donation while in developing countries, the effort to promote organ donation had only begun.
So are you an organ donor? If yes,I'll give you my salute for being such an angel and always know, what you do are so heroic to me and to many others. And if you are not an organ donor, why don't give it a thought to be one?I know it's not an easy decision to make, for that I hope you'll give it some time to think about it and see if you're up to it.If even after all the thinking and you just can't make yourself to say yes to organ donation, don't worry, you're not a bad person. You just haven't had the courage to do such a heroic act.But still you can spread the words around and hope that someone will become an organ donor because of your effort. In this world, there so many kind things to be done and there are a lot of way to do it.So everyone can do their own parts in their own way.May the world will still be a good place for the next generations to come.Peace!v(^0^)v

If You're Afraid,Then Why Do You Want To Fall In Love?

So I heard this line being used in a new Taiwan drama call Love Buffet. It's quite a good story starring Aaron Yan and Calvin Chen from Fei Lun Hai of Fahrenheit.Well,I'm not going to talk about the drama just yet since I haven't finish watching it.It's still airing right now.I'll do a post about it once I'm done watching it.Anyway the above line is used by the female lead in the drama as she started to fall in love with the male lead of the drama. However, the guy has never fell in love too,so he doesn't know how love feels like.He treated every girl about the same way, being nice and fun to be with, making many girls to fall in love with him and misunderstood his way of treating them in the process. The female lead is one of the girl who fall in love with his kindness towards her.So she decided to win his heart though she knows the guy is less likely to date anyone since the guy admits that he didn't know how to love.So this girl used the above line to show that she has the courage to go through all the bad possibilities and negative outcome and wished that she could make the guy feel the same way about her.
However, when I heard this sentence,I can't help but feel so disturb about it.I've never been disturbed by any line used in movies or dramas before.Oh well,I'm growing up now(I know I'm 20,it's kinda too late to say that, but I think compared to before I've become more matured and more sensitive, well, let's keep this for another time, the point is,I've become more sensitive).I personally don't quite agree with what the girl saying. It's a free opinion right?I just don't agree with it.If you're afraid, then why do you want to fall in love. This line simply seems wrong to me.Not quite correct to me.I mean, yes, some people are afraid to fall in love(I might just be one of them) but why do you want to fall in love?I don't think we can really choose whether we want to fall in love at certain time or not.It doesn't make sense.I don't think we can choose when we want to fall in love or who we want to fall in love too.Of course we can put certain category ad requirement for us to fall in love, but that's just our planning,we can't really make it that way.
You can say that you want to fall in love with one of those charming guy and it'll be sweeter if you guys meet by accident or while you're on vacation at a foreign country, the kind of plot we always see in the movies, but will it really happen that way? No.And we put certain category like we want to fall in love with a tall, smart, cute and funny guy,who can make us laugh and don't easily get jealous and all.But there are times when we fall for someone who is too much old for us,having bad temper and actually one of those green-eyed monster. But we stick to them though we curse each other more than we actually hug and kiss.I see these kind of things happen to people around me.I never understand it.I'll sometime say "How come you like someone who won't even let you go out with your girl friends? He often accused you of doing terrible things. And all you guys do is quarreling. Why don't you just break up with him?" And my friend will say she still loves him although he always make her cry and all.I feel it's ridiculous. But I tried to understand them and I finally get the concept that we can't choose love.Unless we can make our hearts to listen to our brains. But hearts never think or hear, all it does is feel.Unlike our brains, through fact, analysis and reasoning we can actually change our view towards something. That's why our mind keep changing everyday. But our hearts don't work that way.
I think if we really can decide on love it's be much easier and probably there'll be less pressures.Well,I've never really fall in love.I don't know why,but it's hard for me to fall in love.Sometime,I have a little crush on someone, but I've never really give any attention to the feeling,I'll just leave it like that and soon it'll somehow just gone like that. When I become more open to talk about this with my friends,my friends came out with a conclusion that I'm just too afraid to fall in love probably because I'm afraid to get hurt. This should be right I think.Who knows?I don't even understand myself. But what I'm trying to say is that there is no such thing that we can choose love.If we really can choose love,we will surely fall in love with someone who already likes us instead of stealing a glance at the other guy who doesn't even realize our existence. And then there'll be no one who choose to be out of love during the hardest time in her life, since it's at this time that we need love the most. There won't be things such as unrequited love and love triangle.
But all these don't happen in reality. We fall for the wrong guys from time to time and we hurt those who truly love us.Sometime we meet the right guys in the wrong time that at the start there's no special feeling blossom but soon when there's so much experiences we share together we started to like him although we've never thought of falling for him earlier.Sometime we shared too much memories with someone that we take them for granted and at the same time looking for love from outside and only realize there's love between us only after they left us.We wanted to fall in love when we are at our best, when we are at the top of the society so that we can cherish the love more and be the happiest girl in the world. But it doesn't work this way either. There are times when we find love when we are at the worst state ever and we feel terrible for ourselves that we think we don't deserve love at that time.So even when there's love we tend to shut it away which not only result in the other party getting hurt by us but also we hurt ourselves.
So for me,we can't choose love.We can't choose whom we want to fall in love with or how we want to fall in love with them or when should we fall in love. When it happen,it happens. We may pretend that we are not in love,we may pretend to love someone,we may pretend we're happy with them,we may pretend whatever we want because some of us are so good in pretending and lying to others. But that doesn't change how our heart really feel.So nurture your heart well so that it won't make mistake. But then again,I think in love there's no such thing as mistake. It's only lesson and experiences so that when we meet the right one we'll appreciate them more. It's not a crime to love someone who don't love you back,it's not a cruel thing to tell someone you don't feel the same way about them,it's not a sin to hurt someone you love unintentionally.Even in the most wonderful relationship with the exact person you should be,there are times when you're having doubt, when you hate him and you feel less love between you guys.Love is like that. It's not perfect. And when you fall in love and in relationship,it's not about the two of you trying to make it perfect and to compliment each other, but it's about accepting the imperfections as the joy of your life.
What about you?I'm sure you have a different opinion from me.You're welcome to share it.^_^

What Is Happiness

Today I went out with my roommates and a friend of us to the town. We planned to buy a few things before we go back to our hometown for the Chinese New Year holidays. A day with a group of people you like is indeed fun and satisfying although I’m actually having a test on Monday’s morning:face4:. While we were on the train to our destination, there’re a few people that caught my attention. It’s quite a habit of mine that whenever I’m on the train or a bus I’ll watch the people around me.I’ve been watching many kind of people while on the train and today is not different from the rest. However,a family of three made me to look at the people around me with a different view.
So I noticed this family which consist of a husband and a wife.Apparently they have a daughter about 4-5 years old (I’m not so good in guessing age,it’s a small kid) and a maid.I don’t know how they ended up on the train,I mean, judging from their appearance and the fact that they can afford a maid, just give us the thought that they should have a car. They were dressing so casually I doubt they’re on a working duty or something like that. It’s Sunday after all. However, the little girl stayed with the maid at one part of the train while the parents at another side of the train. The parents didn’t even look at their child instead, the husband was busy doing something with his cellphone while the wife kept on staring at the view outside the window.
I didn’t know they were related until the little girl ran towards her parents to show the cookies she’s eating. However, she barely came close to them, the wife had waved her hand as a signal for the little girl to go back to the maid. The little girl obeyed her nonetheless, going back to the maid. However, feeling dissatisfied, the little girl came again to her parents while she’s eating her cookies. The parents once again, asked her to leave them and the maid had to take her away from the parents. After finished eating her cookies, the girl went to her parents again, and this time the husband gave a high five to the little girl. The little girl kept on high-fiving her parents for a while before the parents once again told her to go back to her seat. While she was high-fiving with her parents,I noticed how the dull look in her face changed immediately to a bright smile and she kept on laughing and jumping in front of her parents. Her genuine smile and simple laugh made me realized something.
That’s when I started to look at the people around me.The family is the first one coming to my mind.I’m pitying the little girl. She seemed to not be getting enough attention she deserves from her parents. And then a question came to my mind.If the couple had time to go out on weekends why don’t they spend the time with their child? Why would they let the maid to sit with their child instead of them who should be doing it?Although the little girl kept on coming to them a few times, they pushed her away as if she’s disturbing them. Why?What were they so busy with at that time?Busy looking outside the window?Or busy looking at the messages in the cellphone? While they were in the train, they had like about 20 minutes to spend together and what they did?Letting the maid to take care of their child. And out of the 20 minutes, only about less than five minutes they actually communicate with their child by high-fiving.And after that?Nothing else.
Then I saw others around me.A woman with formal outfit, probably working although it’s weekends. There’re a few young couples and bunch of students just like me.Tourists and foreign workers were in the train too.And there was an old man, although he still looked strong, his wrinkles can’t hide the fact that he’s old.And a few middle-aged citizen sitting at a seat supposed to be for the disabled, pregnant woman and old citizen. And no one offered his or her place to the old man.Although the seat belongs to him actually.(I’m also standing,so I can’t do anything about it sad).I’m not about to blame anyone here,I just want to tell you guys what I’ve seen and what I’ve thought. Thanks to the little girl I came to realized about happiness. What is the meaning of happiness? The real meaning of it?It’s not something you can look at the encyclopedia, thesaurus or Wikipedia. And it’s not something you can define by right and wrong.A friend of mine once said as a human,to complete this life and to have the satisfy feeling of living there are 4 stages to be fulfill.Gaining knowledge(studying),having a career(working),finding a soulmate(marriage) and own a family(spouse and childrens). So since I’m still studying,I still have a long way to go to find real happiness and satisfaction in life?Is that what it means? If that’s the case what about those people who already have career and family? Why they are still out there, struggling with their works and neglecting their family?Probably not all is like that but mostly are.I don’t know and nor do I understand about this.So again I’m not blaming anyone.I’m just sharing my thought. But today, seeing the little girl and the fact that I’m away from my family,(My family have never separated from each others, but now I’m at the south region, and my brother too had just gone to the north region, leaving my parents alone at home at the middle region) I came up with my own definition of happiness. It may not be apply to everyone else, but I know it can make me happy,so it’s the real meaning of happiness to me.So,what’s the meaning of happiness to me?

• It’s my mother nag about how girls need to wake up early when I wake up in the afternoon
• It’s asking my mother to make omelet for me for breakfast
• It’s talking back to my mother when she asks me to clean the mess in my room
• It’s changing the channel to my favorite when my mother watched her favorite soap opera
• It’s listening to my favorite rock band and she said she’s going to be deaf soon
• It’s leaving my dirty laundry for my mother to do it for me
• It’s refusing to help her in the kitchen to prepare the meal
• It’s listening to one of her lectures of how a girl need to behave
• It’s asking her money to buy me a new cellphones
• It’s commenting on her outdated music tastes
• It’s watching WWE on the television with my father and brother
• It’s leaving my things at the sitting room and let my father to clear it
• It’s going to the night market with him
• It’s arguing on a football match with him
• It’s listening to him playing guitar while I sing along
• It’s waiting for him to get out of the bathroom (my father takes a very long bath>.<)
• It’s staying up late and making him worry about me
• It’s watching a late night movies with him
• It’s asking him to prepare a drink for me
• It’s playing chess with my younger brother
• It’s sharing our favorite anime together
• It’s watching our favorite series on the television together
• It’s taking the television remote from our parents so that we can watch our favorite channel
• It’s sharing our favorite songs together
• It’s sharing our secrets together
• It’s fighting over so many things we don’t want to share
• It’s threatening to tell our parents about the secrets whenever we’re fighting
• It’s sneering at his spiky hair style
• It’s looking smug when he get scolded by our parents
• It’s bullying him to for my good use
• It’s giving a lesson to someone who bullied him
• It’s having every meals together as a family
• It’s going out together
• It’s watching the channel we all love together
• It’s singing to the song we love together
• It’s loving each others in our own way that nobody else can understand

There are so much more to define the happiness. But I think you guys already have the idea of how I’m defining the happiness. So have I gain the happiness I’m talking about? The answer is yes,it’s there right in front of me.But it’s just me who didn’t realized it until I’m away from my family.Happiness is not our destination, the way people always tell us,but it’s a way of living our life.We can choose to be happy simply by appreciating people around us a little more than they deserved or we can choose to gain happiness by trying to create a perfect living style, with good career, great spouse and stable finance.Wow,this time I’m writing too long.Really too long.Don’t mind me.(

                                    I AM AN EXAM-ORIENTED STUDENT

What a statement. But believe it or not, that's an understatement to describe what kind of student I am.I'm certainly not one of those studious student(on contrast,I can be classified as those lazy student..I honestly didn't take my studies seriously until it's a week  away from examination.I enter my classes late,if I'm lucky,I'll be a few seconds earlier than my lecturers and when I'm not I'm about 5-10 minutes later than the lecturer.I'm not proud of it,but having done that since my secondary school,(I'm a good student during my primary school, yeah,I wonder too where the hell the good and obedient me when I entered secondary school?) it's hard now to change my bad habit.I do focus in classes,I do take notes to the lecture and all,but that's like 1 out of five classes, when I'm in a good mood and full with enthusiasm. The rest of the time,I looked at my lecturer face once in a while, jot down probably just the topic and subtopic but spent the entire class to message with my best friends or just scribble anything on the paper that's supposed to be filled with all the important points of the lecture.
When I was in matriculation college,my habit became worse.I don't like the lectures at all,I don't think I can focus inside the class and I can't even stand to sit for the whole hours in the lecture hall.Thinking that I couldn't learn anything if I continued to stay in the lectures,I decided to skip the lectures.I skipped almost 70% of the lectures and only came for the tutorials since well, the tutorial class is so small that the tutor knew everyone in there and somehow during that particular time, all the tutors kinda noticed me a lot that others. The tutors often turned to me first to answer their questions before they asked others in the class. It's probably because my name is a lot more easier to remember than other students' name which are so unique and rare.Mine is just so common.I prefer others to call me using just a part of my name so that they'll remember it easily. It's Linda.^.^
Back to the topic,so that's is me.A lazy student. And when the exam is around the corner that's when I will really start studying.I'll frantically search for reference books and notes. That's when I really tried to understand all the topics I've should learn months ago.I know,a lot of people say studying at the very last minutes won't help you in the examination. My teachers and lectures especially talk about this a lot.But that's how I've survived all these years. That's how I get to where I am here.So I think it's working. At least for me.
I've never been the best in my school or college, but I'm among the best.So I think I did well by studying at the last minute. But when I entered university, the final results don't depend merely on examinations. There are other things as well. The project, assignments, tests and presentation. With all these,I found myself constantly struggling for certain subjects, which is good for a lazy student like me.But I've also realized, university examination is nothing like the one in school. It's far more difficult than that. And that's when I realized, studying at the last minute isn't going to help me go far in pursuing my degree. It takes a lot more than that.It takes a lot of hard works. So from now on,I have to change my study habits.
I hope after I posted this,I'll change my habits right away.I'll be a better student and make myself deserved to get a good result. My last semester result?I'm not the best and although I'm considered as among the best,I'm definitely at a lower level in the circle. So to me,please change your study style!

Waiting Is Not My Thing (>v<)

Waiting...it's a situation you have faced for your entire life, believe it or not.We wait for many things and for various reasons. From the tiniest matter such as waiting for the train or bus to come right to matters that concern our lives such as waiting for an important occasion that will change our lives forever(marriage, for instance..).I don't think there's any one single person who likes to wait, but how many have the patience to wait?I'm not one of those high patience people,so I literally don't like to wait.I don't like to wait in line for my breakfast,or waiting for the bus to come or waiting for my friend to get ready to go out.I just don't like waiting. So,instead of going to my classes together with my friends who are in the same class,I walk alone to class,so I don't have to wait for anybody. As much as I hate waiting for others,I too don't like people to wait for me.Because it makes me feel uncomfortable knowing while I'm in my room getting ready, there's someone down there waiting for me to come out.Well, that's one from my everyday life.
There are also another kind of waiting. That is waiting for your crush to notice you the same way you notice him.Although,I've never experience this, but I heard it a lot from my friends.I know you won't believe me when I said I never experience it.But it's the truth.I do have one or two crushes during my secondary school years, but I've never wait for anyone for such reason. And then there is also the one who spills hos heart towards you and expecting you to like him too. He'd probably say he's willing to wait for your answer or for you to eventually accept him.I don't like this kind of waiting too.It makes me restless and think about it all the time.I quickly feel pity to those who waited for me.So,I'll make a hasty decision to make them feel better. But most of the time,I ended up making them more hurt.Through my own mistakes,I learn that it's good to not making others to wait for you forever. But you also have to think about the situation carefully so that you won't end up in a messed up situation instead.
All in all,I still don't like this waiting stuff.I'd rather spend my valuable time doing something I like or something that will benefits me rather than sit around waiting for whatever it is.One can wait if it's worth, but nothing is worth it for you to wait for it forever.Make up your mind, take a calculated decision and move on.
